- Sign up to the pledge to end non-recyclable and non-recycled cardboard cups.
- Tell your friends.
- Contact your local coffee shop and get them to support killthecardboardcup.com. Ask them to put up a killthecardboardcup.com poster at their cashier, offer ceramic cups as their primary cups and offer a discount to customers who bring in their own reusable cups.
- At public events and gatherings where hot beverages are offered, make suggestions and demand that non-recyclable cardboard cups are not used.
- Contact major chains* and demand the following:
- Provide a surcharge on cardboard cups.
- Have cashiers offer a ceramic cup as an option when customers order.
- Provide a discount for customers who bring their own cups.
- Contribute toward finding a way for take away cups to be recyclable.
- Offer recycle bins in all their shops.
